Builders Hub Impact Investment Program – the enterprise hunt
Nigeria is undergoing a transformative period of Change. Change in a new Government. Change in our attitude and direction for Nigeria.
The reason for this ambitious project
I got tired of the never-ending headlines proclaiming the deplorable state of an average Nigerian and the nation’s economical plight. “Over 100million Nigerians live below poverty level” V.P. Osibanjo,
“80% of Nigerian youths are unemployed” CBN The question I began to ask myself daily, which became my mantra was, “How can Nigeria be so poor amdist so much?”
We are a people capable of ingenious inventions tied to long term vision. How then did we become such an import dependent nation? The reason is, we have allowed ourselves to be brainwashed into thinking that Nigerian made products are substandard and inferior, yet our history is evident that this was not the case. It’s perplexing to believe that Nigeria, the great Trans – Sahara trader driven by the Songhai and Borno empires facilitated by Sorko crafted beautiful hand-made boats from the Calice drat tree, as far back as the 13th century. Nigeria, home of the Nok culture, land of the builders of the mighty Wall of Benin (800AD– 1400AD) which stood four times longer than the Great Wall of China was one of the largest man-made structures in the world.
